The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s new searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. Hazard: The jackets have retractable cords with toggles at the hood/neck area and at the waist, which can strangle or trap children.

Description: The blue Cub Scout wind tech jackets, sold in youth sizes, are nylon with a polyester lining, full zipper front and a Cub Scout wolf head emblem embroidered on the upper left chest.

Sold at: Boy Scouts of America retail outlets nationwide and online at www.scoutstuff.org from November 2009 through July 2011 for approximately $32.

Remedy: Remove the cords from the jackets to eliminate the hazard or return to Boy Scouts of America for a refund.
