Hazard: The TV stand’s neck support can break and cause the TV to tip over, posing an injury risk.

Description: aier 42-inch LED TVs have model number LE42B1380 printed on the front of the TV.

Sold at: Fry’s Electronics and other stores and online at and other online retailers from September 2011 through March 2012 for about $450.

Remedy: Stop using the TV and detach it from the stand. Contact Haier for a replacement stand neck to be used with the original base. Wall-mounted TVs can be used, but consumers should request a free replacement stand neck in case of future use with the stand.
