The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s new searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. Hazard: The TV stand’s neck support can break and cause the TV to tip over, posing an injury risk.

Description: aier 42-inch LED TVs have model number LE42B1380 printed on the front of the TV.

Sold at: Fry’s Electronics and other stores and online at Amazon.com and other online retailers from September 2011 through March 2012 for about $450.

Remedy: Stop using the TV and detach it from the stand. Contact Haier for a replacement stand neck to be used with the original base. Wall-mounted TVs can be used, but consumers should request a free replacement stand neck in case of future use with the stand.
