The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s new searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. Hazard: The flashlight can overheat, blister and melt, possibly burning users.

Description: These 6½-inch long black and orange plastic flashlights have pumpkins, bats, witches, haunted houses and cats on their handles. The flashlights come with plastic lenses that project a pumpkin, bat, witch, haunted house and cat.

Sold at: Discount stores in California, Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas and Utah from August 2010 to October 2011 for about $1.

Remedy: Remove batteries from the flashlight and properly discard them. Return flashlight to the place of purchase for a refund.
