The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s new searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. A searchable food and medical product recall database is available at http://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/default.htm.
Units: About 1,600 chairs and 1,300 stools

Hazard: The yellow paint on the metal frame of the children’s chairs and stools contains excessive levels of lead, which can be toxic if ingested by children.
Description: These children’s folding chairs and stools have plastic seats, which have cartoon-like scenes on them with monkeys, teddy bears, mushrooms and heart-shaped balloons. “PENGKO” is printed on the chairs’ heart-shaped seatbacks. Item number “JCA8036” is on a white sticker underneath the chairs’ seats and item number “JCA8037” is underneath the stools.
Sold exclusively at: 1 to Seven stores in Puerto Rico from September 2010 through June 2011 for about $5.
Remedy: Return chairs and stools to any 1 to Seven store or contact Elegant Gifts Mart for a refund.
