Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s new searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. Hazard: The wiring for the lamp’s light sockets can become exposed and shock users.
Description: Lamps (model G-1843-5) are five feet tall, have gunmetal or chrome colored metal poles, and five adjustable lights mounted on flexible metal tubes. Dark plastic or multi-colored double plastic shades cover each of the five lights.
Sold exclusively at: Big Lots stores nationwide from April 2010 to November 2011 for $30 to $50.
Remedy: Return lamp to a Big Lots store for a refund.
