The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s new searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. A searchable food and medical product recall database is available at http://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/default.htm.

Hazard: The rattles’ handles are small enough to fit into children’s throats and are a choking hazard.
Description: Made out of woven plastic, the multi-colored rattles have bells inside and measure about 4½ inches long.
Sold at: Various Mexican specialty craft stores nationwide from February 2001 through October 2011 for about $4.
Remedy: Return rattles to Lee Carter Co. for a refund or credit toward a replacement product.
