The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s new searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. Hazard: The plastic bottles can explode under pressure, injuring anyone nearby.
Description: The products are white or gray plastic bottles and caps used as part of the iSi Twist’n Sparkle Beverage Carbonation System. The recalled items were sold in the Starter Set (model 1005) with one reusable bottle and the Bottle Set (model 1006) with two reusable bottles.
Sold at: Williams-Sonoma, QVC and other national retailers and websites from June 2010 to March 2012 for approximately $50 for the Starter Set and $30 for the Bottle Set.
Remedy: Stop using the products and contact iSi or the place of purchase for instructions on returning the product for a refund or credit. For products purchased online, contact the online retailers for return, refund and credit instructions. The U.S. Postal Service does not accept CO2 gas chargers for shipment by mail.
