The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. Hazard: The inner tube of the tire can pop, causing the wheel rim to fly off, causing injury and property damage.
Description: Recalled are Jeep Liberty branded strollers with model numbers starting with JL031, JL032, JL034, JL035 or JL036 manufactured between June 2010 and September 2011. The model number and manufacture date are printed on a tag on each seatback pad. The three-wheeled strollers were sold in various color fabric combinations with a black and silver frame. A plastic red toy steering wheel, ignition key and orange shift lever are mounted on a yellow base attached to the stroller tray. Strollers with a gray triangle on the rim of the wheel’s valve stem are not recalled.
Sold at: Burlington Coat Factory, Sears and Toys R Us nationwide, online, and at other stores from June 2010 through June 2013 for $150 to $180.
Remedy: Contact Kolcraft for free replacement wheels. Use a manual bicycle pump, not gas station air pumps, to inflate stroller tires to a maximum of 30 p.s.i.
