The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. A searchable food and medical product recall database is available at www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/default.htm.

Hazard: Children can get caught in the jacket’s drawstrings and strangle.
Description: Recalled are boys’ long sleeve hooded jackets sizes 2T to XL. The word “Mecca” is on the front of the garment and on the label in the neck of the jacket. Elastic drawstrings are around the neck and waist. Styles recalled are MK310702 (S-XL), MLK310702 (S-XL) and MT310702 (2T-4T) in black, coffee bean, green, khaki, navy; MK31111509 (S-XL), MLK31111509 (S-XL) and MT31111509 (2T-4T) in in black, dark brown, gun metal, khaki and navy. The style number can be found on a label sewn into the jacket.
Remedy: Jackets can be used after drawstrings and toggles are cut out of the garment, or return jackets to the store where purchased for a refund.
Sold at: A&E stores, All Kids Inc 27, Bergen Kids LLC, Children’s Town, Cititrends Inc., Concord Stores, Fordham Kids, Hudson Operating Corp, Kiddie Outlet, Modecraft/Burlington, Myrtle Kids, Pitkin Kids, Suitmart and Youngland from August 2010 through March 2011 for about $30.
