The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. A searchable food and medical product recall database is available at www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/default.htm.
Hazard: Suspension fittings can break during use, causing a child to fall and be injured.
Description: The IKEA Gungung swing is made for children ages 3 to 7. It is green polyester fabric and hangs from black plastic suspension straps attached to steel hooks. A label on one of the suspension straps reads: Design and Quality IKEA of Sweden, GUNGGUNG article number 302.439.74, supplier number 17915.
Sold at: IKEA stores and at www.ikea-usa.com from June to August 2014 for $20.
Remedy: Return swings to any IKEA store for a refund. Proof of purchase is not required.
