The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. Hazard: Drawstrings at the neck can get caught on another object and strangle a child.
Description: Sweatshirts came in black, green, blue, red and turquoise in boys’ sizes small and medium. There are two front pockets and a white zipper and drawstring. A label on the lower left seam inside the garment reads batch number 61271,159.
Sold at: Fred Meyer and Kroger stores nationwide from June through August 2014 for about $18.
Remedy: Remove the drawstring or return to place of purchase for a refund and a $10 gift card.
