The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. A searchable food and medical product recall database is available at www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/default.htm.
Hazard: The waist drawstring could become snagged or caught in small spaces or vehicle doors, putting kids at risk of being tangled and hurt.
Description: United Colors of Benetton jackets with style number 2GQ1534Q0 are navy blue with a brown drawstring at the waist. The cotton jackets have zipper and five brown buttons at the front closure. They were sold in boys’ sizes S through XL.
Sold at: Benetton stores and at www.benetton.com and www.zappos.com from January through March 2014 for about $90.
Remedy: Remove the drawstring from the garment or contact Benetton for a refund.
