The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. A searchable food and medical product recall database is available at www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/default.htm.
Hazard: Plastic toast can break into pieces that can cut children. They also can choke on the small pieces.
Description: The “Just Like Home” toy toaster is blue with orange and silver detailing. It was sold with two plastic pieces of toast and two plastic bagel halves. Model number 5F60589 is printed on a white label on the bottom of the toaster.
Sold at: Toys R Us and toysrus.com from July 2013 through August 2014 for about $10.
Remedy: Return the toaster and pieces to a Toys R Us location for a refund.
