The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. Units: About 800,000

Hazard: The battery in the handheld video monitor can overheat and burst, which is a burn hazard.

Description: The rechargeable batteries in Summer Infant handheld color video monitors are recalled. TCL is printed on the lower right corner of the battery. Sold at: Mass merchants, including Babies “R” Us, online retailers and independent juvenile specialty stores from February 2010 through 2012 for $150 to $350.

Remedy: Remove the battery and contact Summer Infant for a replacement. The monitor can be used with the power cord.
