Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. Hazard: The coats have a drawstring tie sewn into the side seam at the waist that could become snagged or caught in small spaces or vehicle doors.
Description: Girl’s “Sugarfly” brand pea coats are double breasted and made of wool and polyester. They are sold in black, charcoal plaid and purple plaid in girls’ sizes S (7-8), M (10-12), L (14) and XL (16). Style number KEM236 is on the label found inside on the side seam. “Sugarfly” is printed on a label sewn into the neck of the coat.
Sold at: Nordstrom Rack nationwide from October through November 2010 and online at www.Zulily.com from September through November 2013 for about $40.
Remedy: Remove the tie from the side seams of the coat to eliminate the hazard, or return the coat to the place of purchase for a refund.
