Hazard: When assembled incorrectly, the bunk bed can create a space, and young children can become stuck in the space and injured.

Description: Lea Covington and Hannah Collections bunk beds with bookcases were sold in twin over twin and full over full sizes with accessories such as a bookcase. The Covington Collection has a cherry finish, and the Lea Collection has a white finish.

Sold at: Furnitureland South, other furniture stores nationwide and at from September 2011 to March 2014 for about $1,700.

Remedy: Contact the company to find out if the bed is misassembled. A professional installer can be dispatched to raise the position of the bottom bunk bed and install new brackets on the bookcase.
