The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. A searchable food and medical product recall database is available at www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/default.htm.
Hazard: The metal snaps on the jackets could detach, and young children could choke on them.
Description: This recall involves boys’ knitted fleece varsity jackets in sizes 6 months through 5T. The jackets are royal blue with gray sleeves and have a baseball character with a red hat on the left chest area. “The Children’s Place” is printed on a tag at the neck of the jacket. A white sewn-in label at the side seam has product numbers 158805, 158806, 158807 and vendor number 1408.
Remedy: Return jackets to any The Children’s Place store for a refund. If purchased online, contact The Children’s Place for a postage-paid envelope to return the jacket for a refund.
Sold exclusively at: The Children’s Place stores nationwide and online at www.childrensplace.com from December 2014 through July 2015 for about $30.
