The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. A searchable food and medical product recall database is available at www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/default.htm.

Hazard: The lamp can overheat and spark when plugged in, posing a fire hazard.
Description: The aquarium lamp looks like a tropical coral reef but contains no water. Lights illuminate colorful fish and dolphins that swim back and forth with a 3D effect. The scene is framed by a glass mirror. The lamp case and stand are made of plastic.
Sold at: The Bits and Pieces catalogue and online at www.bitsandpieces.com from September 2014 through January 2015 for about $30.
Remedy: Melville Direct is mailing a return form and a merchandise return label to customers whose lamp shipped after Sept. 1, 2014. Customers should complete the return form and affix the postage-paid return label to the outside of the box. Customers also can contact Melville Direct to get the form and label.
