The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. Units: About 300,000 (expanded recall)

Hazard: There could be a gap between the mattress and crib ends, and infants could become trapped and suffocate.

Description: Recalled are IKEA SULTAN and VYSSA crib mattresses with the following model names: SULTAN BLUNDA, SULTAN DRÖMMA, SULTAN SNARKA, SULTAN SUSSA, VYSSA VACKERT, VYSSA VINKA, VYSSA SPELEVINK, VYSSA SLÖA and VYSSA SLUMMER. The mattresses were manufactured on May 4, 2014, or earlier. An identification label is attached to the mattress cover with manufacture date in Month-DD-YY format or YY-WW format. In the YY-WW format, mattresses with a date code of 14-18 or earlier are recalled.

Sold exclusively at: IKEA stores nationwide and at www.ikea-usa.com from October 2000 to May 2014 for about $20 to $100.

Remedy: If the gap is larger than the width of two fingers, return the mattress to any IKEA store for an exchange or refund.
