The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. A searchable food and medical product recall database is available at www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/default.htm.
Hazard: The crib mattresses do not meet the federal mattress flammability standard for open flames, posing a fire hazard.
Description: Stork Craft foam crib and crib/toddler mattresses with model numbers 06710-100 and 06710-200 were manufactured between August 2014 and January 2015. The mattresses have a zippered white fabric cover and measure about 28 inches wide, 52 inches long and have a 5-inch thick foam core. The model number, date of manufacture and “Stork Craft Manufacturing (USA) Inc.” are printed on white federal label attached to the white mattress cover. The mattresses’ box has a Graco logo.
Sold at: Walmart stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com, ToysRUs.com, Walmart.com and Wayfair.com from August 2014 through April 2015 for $38 to $50.
Remedy: Contact Stork Craft for a free, zippered mattress barrier cover to be placed over the mattress foam core and under the white mattress cover.
