Breast-feeding and early illnesses
Breast-feeding seems to protect infants against some lower respiratory tract illnesses, a study by researchers at the Arizona Health Sciences Center shows.
Breast-feeding appears to afford the most protection to infants during the first four months of their lives, the researchers state. The researchers have been following, since birth, 1,000 children born in Tucson, Ariz., for nearly nine years.
