Safety seat recalls
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is recalling two child safety seat models.
Approximately 727,000 Century Products child safety seats are being recalled because the Spanish instructions on the positioning labels are incorrect. Individuals following these instructions would not properly restrain the child in the seat, which would increase the child's chance of "injury in the event of an accident or sudden stop.
Affected models in this recall include: 4153, 4163, 4180, 4253, 4261, 4263, 4265, 4266, 4365, 4366, 4367, 4368, 4369, 4380, 4381, 4460, 4470, 4475, 4476, 4480 and 4490. The models were manufactured between December 1990 and October 1991.
