Register for Virtual Career Fair

There’s still time to register for the AAP Virtual Career Fair on Oct. 22-24.

The virtual fair serves to improve connections between employers and career-seeking AAP members and pediatric trainees. The first virtual fair held last spring matched more than 1,000 registered job seekers from almost every state, as well as international candidates.

Live chat with recruiters in the Social Lounge about pressing questions, navigate between virtual employer booths and quickly search for positions in the “My Jobs” search center.

Fellows and AAP member residents who register for the virtual career fair at http://www.aapcareerfair.org/registration/ are automatically entered into a raffle for a chance to win a $25 Visa gift card.

Large employer networks and solo practices are participating in the virtual fair. Details for employers can be found at http://go.aap.org/Fall16RecruiterGuide.

For year-round resources, check out the new AAP Career Center, at http://careercenter.aap.org, which offers access to the PedJobs job board, career-oriented articles and links to member resources.

New content focus: AAP Grand Rounds

AAP Grand Rounds offers readers a broad picture of looming health issues in medical research as well as new science not yet encountered in their everyday practice of pediatric medicine.

In January, Grand Rounds will have a new design and a much anticipated content refocus on timelier research reviews on popular pediatric subspecialties like adolescent medicine, critical care, developmental and behavioral, emergency medicine, endocrinology, gastroenterology, hematology-oncology, hospital pediatrics, infectious diseases, neonatology, nephrology, orthopedics and pulmonology.

The editorial board includes academic experts who will analyze the research and identify pearls that readers can quickly review and share with colleagues.

AAP Grand Rounds offers readers the opportunity to earn continuing medical education credit. AAP members can save on already reduced subscriptions. Pre-order 2017 AAP Grand Rounds at http://shop.aap.org/2017-aap-grand-rounds. Organizations can order a site license or site license with print at http://shop.aap.org/library.
