Booster seats

Hazard: The label on the fabric cover may not have the required instructions and warnings. Caregivers may not know how to use the child seat properly, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.

Description: Recalled Babideal Storm booster car seats from Dorel China America Inc. have multicolored fabric covers and are labeled with model BC901BPXL and manufacture date of 2/28/2019.

Remedy: Contact Dorel for a replacement cover with compliant warning label.

Fiber supplements

Hazard:The powder may contain green plastic pieces or shavings from bottle caps. If consumers swallow the pieces, they could choke or injure their mouth or gastrointestinal tract.

Description:Recalled are Benefiber prebiotic fiber supplement powder in 500-gram containers (UPC 886790218302) with lot number YT2Y and expiration date of October 2021 and with lot number 7D6E and expiration date of November 2021; 760-gram containers (UPC 8886790211907) with lot number UV5C and expiration date of October 2021 and with lot number 648H and expiration date of November 2021. Also recalled are 500-gram containers of Benefiber Healthy Shape prebiotic fiber supplement powder (UPC 886790018872) with lot number MP8B and expiration date of September 2021.

Sold at:Retail stores and retailers online nationwide.

Remedy:Contact your physician about problems that could be related to using the product. Report adverse events to the Food and Drug Administration’s MedWatch Safety Information and Adverse Event Reporting Program at https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/medwatch/index.cfm.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Chests

Units:About 21,000

Hazard:The recalled chests can tip over onto children if not anchored to the wall.

Description: Recalled Prepac four-drawer chests with plastic drawer glides were sold in black (BEP-3031-4, BBD-3031-4), oak (OBD-3031-4) or white (WHD-3031-4).

Sold: Online at Overstock.com, Target.com, Amazon.com and other online retailers from April 2005 through September 2018 for about $75.

Remedy: Place away from children and contact company for a tip-over restraint kit and one-time free in-home installation of the wall anchor strap.

Essential oils

Units: About 5,600 units of Dr. Mercola oil, about 2,600 units of Wyndmere oil and about 1,200 units of Eiji oil.

Hazard: The essential oil is not in child-resistant packaging and contains methyl salicylate, which is poisonous if swallowed by young children.

Description: Three brands of essential oil are recalled. Dr. Mercola wintergreen oil comes in 1 fluid-ounce amber glass bottles with black caps. Lot codes are WTG-001-T and WTG-001-U, and the UPC code is 813006019729. Wyndmere oils include birch (UPC 602444000907 and batch 12717-65) and Aches & Pains Synergistic Blend (UPC 602444010609 and batch 112019-65). They came in 10 mL blue glass bottles with black caps. Eiji wintergreen oil comes in 5 mL amber glass bottles with black caps with lot 6321C printed on the bottom.

Multivitamin containers

Hazard: The product contains iron and comes in packaging that is not child resistant. Iron is a poisoning risk if swallowed by young children.

Description: Recalled are The Vitamin Shoppe’s Energy Formula multivitamins in a white bottle with a blue, white and gold label. Each bottle contains 90 tablets and has code VS-3293 and lot number 8102351 on the bottom of the bottle.

Sold at: The Vitamin Shoppe stores nationwide and online at VitaminShoppe.com from April 2019 through January 2020 for $15 to $22.

Remedy: Store the product away from children. Contact The Vitamin Shoppe for instructions on how to dispose of the product and receive a refund or credit.

Children’s neck pillows

Units: About 160

Hazard: There is lead paint on the zippers and zipper pulls. Lead is toxic if ingested by children.

Description: Recalled are four models of children’s neck pillows: pink elephant with silver crown (6939837694431), blue chick with gold crown (6939837694493), gray elephant with silver crown (693983769445) and green dinosaur (6939837694417).

Sold at: Ximi Vogue stores in Miami from November 2019 through February 2020 for about $11.

Remedy: Do not allow children to use the pillows. Contact company for refund instructions.
