The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Tip-over hazard: Children’s, adult dressers and chests

Units: About 8 million MALM three-drawer, four-drawer, five-drawer and six-drawer chests and dressers and 21 million additional children’s and adult dressers and chests. See a list of other styles at

Hazard: The dressers and chests can tip over if they are not anchored to the wall.

Incidents: Three children were killed when MALM style furniture fell on top of them. None of the chests or dressers had been anchored to the wall.

Description: Recalled children’s chests and dressers are taller than 23.5 inches, and adult chests and dressers taller than 29.5 inches. The particleboard or fiberboard MALM chests and dressers come in white, birch (veneer), medium brown, black-brown, white stained oak (veneer), oak (veneer), pink, turquoise, gray, gray-turquoise, lilac, green, brown stained ash (veneer) and black. A five-digit supplier number, four-digit date stamp, IKEA logo, country of origin and “MALM” are printed on the underside of the top panel or inside the side panel. They include MALM 3, MALM 4, MALM 5, MALM 6 and MALM 6 LONG. Measurements and dates sold can be found at

Remedy: Move unanchored chests and dressers to where they cannot be accessed by children until properly anchored or removed. A refund is available for recalled items manufactured between January 2002 and June 2016. Partial store credit is offered for those with recalled furniture manufactured prior to January 2002. Furniture owners can order a free wall-anchoring repair kit. A one-time, free in-home installation service is available upon request. Kits can be reordered throughout the life of the chest and dresser.

Hazard: The lithium-ion battery packs in the hoverboards can overheat, posing a risk of the products smoking, catching fire or exploding.

Description: Recalled are self-balancing scooters, or hoverboards. They have two wheels at either end of a platform and are powered by lithium-ion battery packs.

Flying toy charging cords

Units: About 325,000

Hazard: The USB charging cords sold with Aero Spin and Aero Cruz Sky Rover remote-controlled flying toys can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards.

Description: Recalled are yellow USB charging cords sold with the remote-controlled flying toys. The toy is shaped like ball with two blades on top and wings on the side. The following item numbers are recalled: YW859110-2, YW859110-3, YW859110-5, YW859110-6 or TTYW859110-5. They were sold in red, orange and green.

Sold at: Walmart and other mass merchandisers and independent toy stores nationwide and online at from January 2015 through January 2016 for $11 to $15.

Bottle warmers

Units: About 255,000

Hazard: The warmers can overheat and catch on fire.

Description: Recalled are Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature electric bottle and food warmers, sold separately or as an accessory with the Complete Starter Kit or the All in One Newborn Set. The bottle and food warmer is white with a gray adjustable control dial next to the on/off light. Tommee Tippee is stamped on the front of the unit. “Min” or “0” is stamped on the left-hand side of the control dial, and the UL logo and a six alpha-numeric batch code that begins with a number and ends with “GY” is stamped on the underside.

Bunk beds

Units: About 20,000

Hazard: The bunk bed’s side mattress support rails can crack or break, and those on the bed can fall off.

Description: Recalled are Chadwick wooden bunk beds sold in white (model 1030), mission oak (models 1245 and 1589) and in a twin over full combination. All models had the option of a storage drawer or a trundle under the lower bunk. Hillsdale Furniture, Made in Vietnam and the model number are printed on a label affixed to the inside of the bedrail or footboard.

Children’s chairs, swings
Units: About 6,000

Hazard: The screen-printing on the fabric of the chairs and swings contains lead, which can be toxic if ingested by young children.

Description: Recalled are Leisure Ways pink butterfly themed children’s camp chairs, moon chairs and swings. The chair and swings have a metal frame with large red butterfly images and other colorful images on the pink polyester fabric. “Distributed by: Far East Brokers and Consultants, Inc.” and “Tracking # November/2015” are printed on the label sewn into the seat of each chair.

Sold at: Weis Markets, wholesale distributors, grocery and drugstores nationwide from January through April 2016 for $10 to $50.

Remedy: Return the chairs to the place of purchase for a refund.

Children’s nightgowns

Units: About 7,800

Hazard: The nightgowns can catch on fire easily.

Description: Recalled are five styles of children’s nightgowns manufactured by Saro Trading. The 100% white cotton nightgowns have “Taleen” printed on the neck label and are embroidered with eyelet trimming, ribbons on the chest or buttons on the center front of the garment.

Hazard: The front handlebar assembly can break, and riders can crash.

Description: Recalled are Hammerhead sleds that were sold in blue, green, orange and yellow. The front handlebars have a steering system with polycarbonate skis. The rear skis are attached to the main aluminum frame. “Hammerhead Pro” is on top of the sled.

Hazard: The fabric discs on the tentacles of the octopus rattles can come off, and children can choke on them.

Description: The Land of Nod’s Octo-rattles, sold individually or as part of a gift bag set, are knit fabric, yellow and shaped like an octopus with multi-colored felt discs sewn into the tentacles. The rattles can attach to strollers or activity gyms. “The Land of Nod,” “Morton Grove, IL 60053,” “951-3072461,” “Made in India” and SKU number 502882 are printed on a label attached to the underside of the rattle.

Sold exclusively at: The Land of Nod stores nationwide and online from September 2015 through April 2016 for about $30 for the individual rattle and for $150 as part of a gift bag set.
