Steven Plax, M.D., FAAP, of St. Louis, Mo., died Sept. 4 at age 83.
Miriam F. Rossi, M.D., FAAP, of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, died July 11 at age 81.
Fred G. Smith Jr., M.D., FAAP, of Durham, N.C., died Sept. 1 at age 90. He helped develop the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) Renewal of Certification in Pediatrics and Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education Residency Review for Pediatrics programs. He was past president of the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology and vice president of Special Programs at the ABP.
