In Memoriam: Dr. Spivey led Georgia Chapter :

Oscar S. Spivey, M.D., FAAP, of Macon, Ga., died July 18. He was 90. President of the AAP Georgia Chapter in 2000, he received the chapter’s highest honor, the Leila D. Denmark, M.D., Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014.

Dr. Spivey was founding chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Mercer University. To honor him and support outstanding young pediatricians in training, the Children’s Hospital and Mercer University created the Oscar Spivey, M.D., Child Advocacy Award. He is survived by his wife, Rosa, four children and nine grandchildren.

 

Harriet Coussons, M.D., FAAP, of Denver, died March 28 at age 77.

Anthony C. Gholz, M.D., FAAP, of Fort Gratiot, Mich., died July 12 at age 95.

Patricia N. Jeansonne, M.D., FAAP, of Riverview, Fla., died May 9 at age 67.

Lyman Page, M.D., FAAP, of Kennebunkport, Maine, died July 3 at age 84.

Sandra K. Rowan, M.D., FAAP, of Reading, Pa., died June 7 at age 81.

Ralph M. Schrager, M.D., FAAP, of Elkins Park, Pa., died May 13 at age 59.

Nanci Yuan, M.D., FAAP, of Palo Alto, Calif., died of colon cancer July 1 at age 47.
