Editor's note:The 2018 AAP National Conference & Exhibition will take place from Nov. 2-6 in Orlando.

The keynote address on Saturday, Nov. 3 will be given by Adam Foss, J.D., a former assistant district attorney in the Juvenile Division of the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office in Boston. Foss is a fierce advocate for criminal justice reform, with a particular emphasis on redefining the role of the prosecutor to help end mass incarceration.

During his nine years as a prosecutor, Foss collaborated with the courts and the community to develop programs that continue to have a positive impact on distressed neighborhoods in the Boston area. To further these ends, he founded Prosecutor Impact, a nonprofit organization that develops training and curriculum for prosecutors to reframe their role in the criminal justice system.

Foss will speak from 11:40 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the Valencia Ballroom of the convention center.
