Did you know that AAP members who are involved in sections are more likely to feel a sense of belonging?
To entice more members to join sections, section webpages have a new look and feel. A clean homepage displays a description of the section and its mission. You also can learn how and why to join, find information on the section’s initiatives and leadership opportunities, access the executive committee roster or send a message or question.
Fifty-two sections provide communities for like-minded professionals, including subspecialties, surgical specialties, special areas of interest and stages of life. Guided by an executive committee, each section helps members cultivate new ideas, advances knowledge and supports members’ needs through programs.
The new section recruitment pages are the latest enhancement in the multiyear Digital Transformation Initiative (DTI). DTI aims to simplify your experience, personalize content offerings and connect members of the AAP community. The AAP launched the DTI as part of the Five-Year Strategic Plan to enhance communication with members and stakeholders.
