Twenty-one early career physicians who graduated from the Young Physicians Leadership Alliance (YPLA) presented posters on their independent leadership projects at a virtual session.
The YPLA is a two-year training program from the Section on Early Career Physicians that is designed to develop leadership skills and establish a network of early career pediatric leaders. Expert faculty guide participants as they explore their leadership capacity and learn about leadership principles, behaviors and tools to help them achieve their personal and professional goals.
This year, participants faced added challenges due to the pandemic. Despite having to overhaul or reimagine their projects, the results benefited their practices, institutions and the Academy.
