Curry spice contains lead

Curry powder sold in Illinois, New Jersey and New York has been recalled because it contains lead, which is poisonous in any amount. Symptoms of lead poisoning include abdominal pain, vomiting, lethargy, irritability, weakness, behavior or mood changes, delirium, seizures and coma. A child with lead poisoning also can develop learning disabilities and developmental delays.

The curry is packaged in 8- and 16-ounce plastic containers. Brands include Corrado (8 ounces: UPC 0 12729 01102 1 and 16 ounces: UPC 0 12729 01100 7), Orlando Imports (16 ounces: UPC 0 53760 45255 8), Nouri’s Syrian Bakery (8 ounces: UPC 0 12729 01102 1 and 16 ounces: UPC 0 1279 0110 7), Mediterranean Specialty Foods (8 ounces: UPC 0 12729 01102 1) and Butera Fruit Market (8 ounces: UPC 0 12729 45273 2). Lot numbers are GER302181, GER405081, GER403281, GER306181, GER104281, GER209081, GER301281, GER403281, GER505181, GER406181, GER504181, GER108081, GER106281, GER205181, GER309281, GER503281, GER306181, GER503081 and GER302181.

Homeopathic spray

Sprayology brand holistic spray products have been recalled because they might be contaminated and cause infections that could be life-threatening to some people.

The sprays are labeled as a homeopathic treatment for symptoms such as acne, allergies, stress relief and dry skin. Individual 1.38-ounce bottles with expiration dates between October 2018 and July 2022 were sold online and in stores.

Infant carriers

Units: 22,000

Hazard: Buckles on the carrier can break, and the infant can fall out.

Description: Recalled are Gold Inc.’s Eddie Bauer fabric infant carriers. They are designed to be worn by a caregiver with the baby strapped into the front. “Eddie Bauer” and “First Adventure” are printed on the front of the carrier.

Sold exclusively at: Target stores nationwide and online from December 2017 to August 2018 for about $70.

Remedy: Contact the company to verify that your carrier is recalled. If it is, cut off and return both straps and the tag with your contact information to receive replacement products or a refund.

Mountain bicycles

Hazard: The downtube on the bicycle frame can crack and cause the rider to fall off.

Description: The 2018 Schwinn Abbott adult men’s full suspension mountain bicycles are black with green, yellow and blue accents.

Sold exclusively at: Walmart stores and online from February through August for about $180.

Electric skateboards

Units: About 10,000

Hazard: The tire on the Neon Nitro 8 skateboard can deflate, and the rider can fall.

Description: Recalled is the Neon-brand self-balancing, single-wheeled, battery-powered electric skateboard from Yvolve Sports.

Sold at: Walmart, Toys R Us and online at Amazon.com from October 2017 through September 2018 for about $500.

Infant rattles

Hazard: Pieces of the rattle can fall off, and infants can choke on them.

Description: Recalled are Green Sprouts brand wooden flower rattles with date code 14714 or 21815 on the handle.

Sold at: Whole Foods stores nationwide, Amazon.com and other online retailers from December 2014 to October 2018 for about $15.

Remedy: Return rattles to i play for a $50 coupon code toward the purchase of new products and shipping costs.

Bicycle helmets

Hazard: The helmets do not meet safety standards to protect bicycle riders.

Description: Recalled are Shimano Lazer bicycle helmets in certain sizes and models. They are Blade (size XS and S), Elle (size S), Jade (size S) and Magma (size S). The helmet color choices included black; black and pink; blue; dark blue; gray and yellow; khaki and orange; titanium; red; yellow and white in glossy or matte finish. Model LZB-08 is on a sticker inside the helmet.

Sold at: Authorized Shimano bicycle dealers from January 2015 to April 2018 for $100 to $125.

Wireless charger pockets

Hazard: The wireless charger bedside pockets can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards.

Description: Recalled are Kikkerland’s wireless charger bedside pockets used for recharging mobile phones and devices. The wireless charging pocket holds a mobile phone or other electronic device. It comes with a charging cord and can be placed between the mattress and bed frame.

Sold at: Annie’s Blue Ribbon, Kowalski’s, SF MOMA, Therapy stores and other stores nationwide from March through August for about $35.

Hazard: The paint on the maracas, xylophone and carrying case contains lead. Lead is toxic if young children put it in their mouths or inhale its dust.

Description: The 18-piece Innocheer children’s musical instrument sets include a xylophone, two mallets, two maracas, one jingle stick, one sleigh bell, four shaker eggs, two finger castanets, one rainbow bell stick, one mini tambourine and one triangle with striker. Hazard: The bath support seat can tip over, or an infant can slip underneath the front support and drown.

Description: The recalled Tubeez baby bath support seat is a rigid plastic seat attached to a foam mat for use in the bathtub. The mat comes in blue (model B9150BL) or gray (model B9150GY). Multiple suction cups are underneath. Date code 1251-0916-enj-nacn or 1434-0617-enj-nacn is printed under the mat.
