The AAP’s flagship journal Pediatrics again has ranked as the most cited in scholarly pediatrics publishing.
The ranking comes from an annual journal citation report that measures quality and standards in the competitive scholarly publishing market.
After a steady climb in citations, Pediatrics leapt to 95,966 total citations for papers published in 2018-’19 and cited in 2020 from 79,434 citations the year prior, according to the report.
Out of 20,932 worldwide journals in all of science and medicine, Pediatrics is the 107th most-cited journal.
The official peer-reviewed journal of the AAP, Pediatrics’ mission is to encompass the needs of the whole child in his or her physiologic, mental, emotional and social structure. The journal has been published continuously by the AAP since January 1948.
