Make plans now for AAP National Conference in Philadelphia

Registration is open for the 2021 AAP National Conference & Exhibition Oct. 8-12 in Philadelphia. Attendees can choose an all-access experience, which includes in-person sessions and activities in Philadelphia plus all on-demand content and virtual sessions. A virtual-only experience also is available.

The in-person experience offers daily plenary sessions, an exhibit hall, the President’s Welcome Reception and networking opportunities. Attendees can choose from over 80 live sessions and have access to more than 130 on-demand sessions. Access the schedule at https://aapexperience.org/.

Topic highlights include:

  • How-to sessions on improving practice, starting a practice, integrating mental health services, making house calls, managing cybersecurity, avoiding claims denials and teaching students and residents in a busy office setting.
  • Sessions on equity and care, including overcoming health disparities in the inpatient setting and promoting health equity with paid family and medical leave.
  • Practical information on car seat selection/installation, infant formula options, drinking water safety, sleep problems, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and tobacco use.
  • The latest on pediatric COVID-19 topics, including vaccine myths and misinformation, multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children, impact of school interruptions and talking to parents about vaccines.

The AAP designates this activity (in-person, internet live, internet enduring) for a maximum of 95 AMA PRA Category 1 credits. Internet enduring content is available Oct. 8 through Jan. 31, 2022, and credit must be claimed between those dates.
