Health Alerts: Stroller adapters, essential oils, nightgowns, and more recalled

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. A searchable food and medical product recall database is available at www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/default.htm.

Stroller adapters

Units:About 86,000

Hazard: The adapters can detach, and children can fall out of the seat attached to the stroller.

Description: The recall includes RumbleSeat accessory adapters designed to be used with the UPPAbaby RumbleSeat. The accessory attaches to the stroller with two plastic adapters that fit onto the stroller frame. The adapters were included with models 0252, 0917 and 0918. The model numbers are printed under the seat.

Sold at: Juvenile specialty stores from October 2014 through July 2019 for $180 to $200.

Remedy: Stop using recalled adapters that do not have a yellow tab and contact UPPAbaby for free replacement adapters.

Water bottle caps

Units: About 46,000

Hazard: A small silicone valve in caps sold with the Podium and Peak Fitness water bottle can detach, and children can choke on it.

Description: Recalled are caps sold with CamelBak’s Podium and Peak Fitness water bottles with date codes H19039, H19063 and H19175 (on the underside of the cap). The 17-, 21- and 24-ounce bottles came in a variety of colors.

Sold at: Sporting goods stores nationwide and online at camelbak.com from February 2019 through January 2021 for $10 to $25.

Remedy: Contact CamelBak for a replacement cap.

Essential oils

Units: About 25,600

Hazard: The product packaging is not child resistant, posing a risk of poisoning if young children swallow the contents.

Description: This recall involves Plant Guru wintergreen and birch essential oils and essential oil blends Headache Relief and Deep Muscle. The oils and blends were sold in 2-ounce, 4-ounce, 5-mL, 10-mL and 30-mL amber glass bottles. The Headache Relief roll-on is in a 10-mL blue bottle.

Sold online at: ThePlantGuru.com, Amazon.com and eBay.com from March 2018 through March 2021 for $6 to $20.

Remedy: Store the products out of children’s reach and contact Plant Guru for a refund for the roll-on products and a free child-resistant replacement cap for the bottles.

Children’s nightgowns

Units: About 8,000

Hazard: The nightgowns fail to meet the federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children.

Description: Seven styles of Auranso Official children’s nightgowns are recalled. The short- and long-sleeved nightgowns were sold in sizes 2-3T, 3-4T, 5-6X, 6-7 years, 7-8 years and 9-10 years. They have pink heart, white heart or striped strawberry prints on them and were sold in white and pink. The heart print nightgowns are made of 95% cotton and 5% spandex, and the striped strawberry print nightgowns are made of 100% cotton.

Remedy: Contact Auranso Official for instructions on returning the garments with free shipping to receive a refund.

Children’s nightgowns

Units: About 4,900

Hazard: The nightgowns fail to meet the federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children.

Description: This recall involves 10 styles of Booph’s 100% cotton children’s nightgowns. They were sold in sizes 2-3T, 3-4T, 5 years, 6-7 years, 7-8 years and 9-10 years. The short- or long-sleeved nightgowns have fruit prints and were sold in white, blue, purple and pink.

Sold online at: www.Amazon.com from March through June 2021 for $9 to $16.

Remedy: Contact Booph for instructions on returning the garments with free shipping to receive a refund.

All-terrain vehicles

Units: 4,600

Hazard: The steering knuckle can detach from the lower arm, which can cause riders to lose control of the vehicle and crash.

Description: Recalled are 44 model-year 2021 Can-Am Outlander and Renegade vehicles sold in various colors. A list is available at https://bit.ly/3go55k6.

Sold at: Can-Am dealers nationwide from January to May for $8,500 to $15,000.

Remedy: Stop using the vehicles and contact a Can-Am dealer for a repair.

Liquid nicotine

Units: About 1,000

Hazard: The products are not in child-resistant packaging. Children who swallow or touch the liquid nicotine are at risk of poisoning.

Description: This recall involves “The Best Damn Liquids” branded liquid nicotine products in all flavors. They are packaged in clear plastic bottles in 120-mL and 240-mL sizes.

Sold online at: www.tbdliquids.com from December 2018 through June 2021 for $30 to $81.

Remedy: Store the products out of children’s reach and contact TBD Liquids for a refund or replacement.

Children’s robes

Units: About 950

Hazard: The robes fail to meet the federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children.

Description: SIORO-branded children’s 100% cotton robes were sold in sizes S, M and L in brown, dark gray, green, light blue, teal, navy, plum and white. They have long sleeves, a hood, two front pockets and a matching belt.

Fishing games

Units: About 300

Hazard: The metal rollers on the bottom of the flying dinosaur figures contain lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues.

Description: Recalled Barhee Fishing Hero toy games include a fishing table, slide, three dinosaurs, two fishing rods, two fishing nets and 10 small fish. Model number 1577C is printed on the side of the box.

Sold online at: Amazon.com from February through April for about $30.

Remedy: Keep the game away from children and contact Blue Star Trading for a refund.
