Online course: racism, child health equity
The online course “Fighting Racism to Advance Child Health Equity” will strengthen knowledge of the impact of racism on child and adolescent health. Attendees will learn approaches to promote racial justice through clinical practice, build a diverse, inclusive anti-racist workforce and gain better understanding of impacts of pandemics, policing and protests on racism and child health.

Apply for early career leadership group
The AAP Section on Early Career Physicians is seeking members for a new Early Career Leadership Programming Advisory Group. Applications are due by June 15, and five members will be selected for terms that run July 1 through June 20, 2023.
The advisory group will guide the formation of a new leadership training programming that aligns with equity, diversity and inclusion. Members also will focus on envisioning curricula, selection processes and accessibility through an equity lens and offer relevant, impactful leadership training for early career physicians, especially those underrepresented in pediatrics.
As part of the AAP Equity Agenda, the Board of Directors is committed to increasing the percentage of members from groups underrepresented in medicine that are serving in Academy leadership positions.
