Health Alerts: Pacifiers, bikes, sleepwear and more recalled

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. A searchable food and medical product recall database is available at www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/default.htm.

Infant pacifiers

Mushie & Co. is recalling FRIGG silicone pacifiers because the nipple can detach, and children can choke on it. The pacifiers were sold in stores nationwide and online from April to December 2021. Call 877-687-4431 or email [email protected].

 

 

Bicycles

Giant Bicycle is recalling 2021 Giant Cypress DX, Giant Escape 3 Comfort, Liv Flourish FS 1 and Liv Alight 3 Comfort bicycles because the adjustable handlebar stem can become loose. Riders can fall and suffer injuries. The bikes were sold at Giant Bicycle dealers nationwide and online from October 2020 through October 2021. Children’s clothing

Several companies are recalling children’s sleepwear because it does not meet federal flammability standards, posing a risk of burn injuries to children.

AOSKERA is recalling children’s long-sleeved nightgowns. They were sold on Amazon.com from October 2020 through May 2021. Email [email protected].

BAOPTEIL is recalling children’s fleece robes. They were sold on Amazon.com from December 2019 through August 2021. Email [email protected].

 

 

Youth ATVs

Several companies are recalling all-terrain vehicles (ATVs). 

CRT Motor is recalling youth model ATVs because children can operate them above the maximum allowed speed, increasing the risk of a crash that can cause serious injuries. The ATVs were sold at Motorsports Planet stores nationwide from April through August 2021. Call 626-822-1129.

 

EGL Motor is recalling youth ATVs because children can operate them above the maximum allowed speed, increasing the risk of a crash that can cause serious injuries. In addition, riders’ upper body or head could be cut if they hit the handlebars at a high rate of speed. Also, the parking brake does not prevent the vehicle from moving. Maxtrade is recalling Youth Coolster Mountopz ATVs because they fail to meet the maximum speed limitations for vehicles intended for children. Additionally, the parking brakes do not prevent the vehicle from moving. The ATVs were sold nationwide from January 2007 through January 2021. Covered wagons

Colony Brands is recalling children’s wood wagons because paint on the wagons, plastic handles and red plastic cover contains lead. Lead can be toxic if ingested by young children. The wagons were sold through the Montgomery Ward’s and Ginny’s catalogs and online at Wards.com and Ginnys.com from September through October 2021.
