Registration remains open for the Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS) Meeting April 21-25 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. An on-demand option also is available with access to recorded content beginning April 26.
The five-day meeting includes 150 exhibitors and more than 360 sessions. Thousands of physicians, researchers and allied health professionals from more than 60 specialty areas are expected to take part in the event to share research, build career opportunities and establish connections.
Among the topics that will be covered are mental health, equity, COVID-19, politics and child health, addressing bias and suicide prevention.
Highlights include an American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)/Academic Pediatric Association (APA) joint presidential plenary on mental health April 25. It will be moderated by AAP President Moira A. Szilagyi, M.D., Ph.D., FAAP, and APA President Teri L. Turner, M.D., M.P.H., M.Ed., FAAP.
The AAP will host two additional presidential plenaries. The first is scheduled for April 23 and will be moderated by AAP CEO/Executive Vice President Mark Del Monte, J.D. The second, titled “Addressing the Priorities of COVID-19, Mental Health and Equity: Emerging Research,” will be held April 25 and moderated by Daniel A. Rauch, M.D., SFHM, FAAP.
A joint presidential plenary hosted by the American Pediatric Society and Society for Pediatric Research titled “Reducing Susceptibility to Misinformation: COVID, Climate and Conspiracies” will held April 22 and moderated by David Keller, M.D., FAAP.
New offerings in 2022 include expanded preconference events, an opening general session Friday afternoon and a poster session Friday night.
