Health Alerts: Jogging strollers, toys, infant bath seats, electric skateboards and more recalled

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to the CPSC’s searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. A searchable food and medical product recall database is available at www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/default.htm.

Jogging strollers

UPPAbaby is recalling 14,400 all-terrain RIDGE jogging strollers. The stroller’s rear disc brakes have openings that can cause amputation or cuts to the fingertip of a child who is not in the stroller while it is in use. The strollers were sold at BuyBuyBaby, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Pottery Barn Kids and other stores nationwide and at Amazon.com from October 2021 through August 2022 for about $600. Infant bath seats

Yuboloo is recalling 1,050 infant bath seats because the seats can tip over, and babies can drown. The bath seats were sold at Amazon.com from May through November 2021 for about $36. Email [email protected] for a refund.

 

 

 

Ride-on toys

Huffy Corp. is recalling 28,550 Blue’s Clues ride-on toys because the toy can tip forward, and a young child riding on it can fall off and be injured. The ride-on toys were sold at Walmart stores and Walmart.com from August 2021 to July 2022 for about $40. Call 800-872-2453 or email [email protected] to receive a free repair kit.

 

 

Activity desk toys

Epoch Everlasting Play is recalling 8,200 Kidoozie My First Activity Desk toys. When attached to a crib, a knob on the activity desks can become entangled with a child’s clothing. The opening in the desk handle also can pose a jaw entrapment hazard to children under 18 months. The toys were sold at Learning Express, Marshalls and independent toys stores nationwide and on Amazon.com and Walmart.com from January 2020 through July 2022 for about $30. Electric skateboards

Future Motion is recalling 20,500 footpads for Onewheel GT electric skateboards because the skateboard can continue to operate after the rider has dismounted, and bystanders can be injured. The skateboards were sold at onewheel.com and authorized dealers from March through June for about $2,200. Hooded sweatshirts

Hard Rock Café is recalling 1,550 children’s sweatshirts because a drawstring in the hood can become entangled or caught on objects, and children can be strangled. Children’s outdoor kitchens

DOM Sports is recalling 190 Big Game Hunters Children’s Outdoor Kitchens because the brass water tap of the play kitchen contains levels of lead that exceed federal standards. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues. The kitchen sets were sold at Amazon.com from July through December 2020 for about $200. Children’s sandals

Kolan is recalling 100 pairs of children’s sandals because the inner layer contain levels of lead that exceed federal standards. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues. The sandals were sold at Amazon.com between March and April for $22 to $26.
