Health Alerts: Cabinet latches, bunk beds, off-road vehicles, and more recalled

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Cabinet latches

North States Industries is recalling 103,000 Toddleroo rotating cabinet latches because the latching buttons can detach, and children can choke on them. The latches were sold at Walmart, buybuyBaby and other stores nationwide and online from November 2019 through August 2022 for $5 to $10. Call 888-243-8350 or visit for a refund.





Children’s earmuffs

Hearing Lab Technology/Lucid Audio is recalling 31,150 pairs of children’s HearMuffs because the AAA batteries included in the earmuffs can rupture and cause injuries. The HearMuffs were sold at Sam’s Club, Kroger and other stores nationwide from January 2018 through December 2021 for $30 to $40. Call 833-408-0479 or visit for replacement information.




Bunk bed ladders

Canyon Furniture Co. is recalling 2,100 ladders sold with Canyon Lake and Cottage Colors bunk bed and hutch sets because the space between the fourth step and the cross-member of the hutch is wider than 3.5 inches. Children can become trapped or be strangled. The bunk bed sets were sold at Rooms To Go stores nationwide and online from April 2019 through March 2022. Hillsdale Furniture LLC is recalling 821 sets of Flynn twin full bunk beds with ladders because the space between the second rung of the ladder and the lower bunk frame is wider than 3.5 inches. Children can become trapped when the mattress is removed. The sets were sold at Value City and American Signature furniture stores from May 2019 through April 2022 for about $1,200. Basketball goals

Spalding is recalling 13,400 Momentous EZ portable basketball goals because welds in the arm attaching the backboard to the pole can fail. The backboard can fall and cause injuries. Children’s hair clips

BE Jewel Accessories is recalling 1,200 children’s bow tie hair clips because the crystals on the hair clip contain levels of lead that exceed federal standards. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues. LED lights

Mr. Maria is recalling 1,400 Miffy First LED Lights because the lights can overheat during use and cause burn injuries. The lights were sold at baby boutiques, gift shops and children stores nationwide from July 2018 through September 2019 for about $100. Call 855-890-4105 or email for a repair.






Jogger strollers

Baby Trend is recalling 310 Cityscape travel jogger strollers because the parking brake can fail. Children can fall out of the stroller and be injured. The strollers were sold at and from January through May 2021 for about $175. Call 800-328-7363 or email for a refund.





Cervélo USA is recalling 1,800 R5 and Caledonia-5 bicycles and Cervélo replacement stems because the handlebars can slip in the stem and cause the rider to lose control and fall. The bikes were sold at Cervélo dealers nationwide from May 2021 through July 2022 for $5,000 to $13,000. Replacement stems were sold for about $300. Off-road vehicles

Yamaha is recalling 330 Viking off-road side-by-side vehicles because improperly installed rear brake lines can cause brake fluid to leak and reduce vehicle control. Riders can crash and suffer injuries. The vehicles were sold at Yamaha dealers nationwide from March through August 2022 for $14,000 to $14,700. Call 800-889-2624 for a repair.
