Health Alerts: Animal figure sets, coolers, strollers and more recalled

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to the CPSC’s searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. Animal figures

Epoch Everlasting Play LLC is recalling 3.2 million Calico Critters animal figures and sets sold with bottle and pacifier accessories because children can choke on the bottle and pacifier. Two deaths related to the toys have been reported. The toy sets were sold at Walmart, Meijer and other stores nationwide and online by Calico Critters and Amazon from January 2000 to December 2021 for $10 to $80. Soft coolers

YETI is recalling 1.9 million magnet-lined soft coolers and gear cases because the magnets can detach, and children can choke on them. Children also can swallow the magnets, which can become lodged in the digestive system. The coolers were sold at Dick’s Sporting Goods, ACE Hardware, Academy Sports + Outdoors, YETI and other stores nationwide and online by YETI and Amazon from March 2018 to January 2023 for $50 to $350. Strollers

Mockingbird is recalling 25,390 single strollers because the side of the stroller frame can break, and children can fall. The strollers were sold online at hellomockingbird.com, babylist.com and goodbuygear.com from March 2020 to March 2023 for $350 to $450. Base layer sets

Patagonia is recalling 8,000 Infant Capilene midweight base layer sets because the snaps in the bodysuit can detach, and children can choke on them. The garments were sold at Patagonia, REI and other stores nationwide and online from August 2021 to January 2023 for about $55. Children’s pajamas

Smocked Auctions is recalling 7,200 sets of children’s pajamas because the garments do not meet federal flammability standards and can cause burns to children. Bamboo plates

Primark is recalling 1,665 children’s bamboo plates because they have elevated levels of lead and formaldehyde, which are toxic if ingested by children. The plates were sold at Primark stores in the Northeast, Florida and Chicago from October 2021 to August 2022 for about $8. Akerson Enterprises is recalling 7,500 Kindred Bravely bamboo nursing hoodies because the plastic caps on the drawcord can come loose, and children can choke on them. Pfizer is recalling 4.2 million packages of Nurtec ODT tablets because the medication packaging is not child-resistant. The prescription medications come in 75 milligram, eight-unit blister packs. Sandoz Inc., is recalling 156,750 Aprepitant capsules and lidocaine and prilocaine cream medications because the products do not have child-resistant packaging. The recall includes 125 milligram Aprepitant capsules and 2.5%/2.5% cream 5 gram tubes of lidocaine and prilocaine. Bedsure International Co. is recalling 350,000 Bedsure electric heating blankets and pads because the controller can malfunction and cause burns. ATVs

Polaris is recalling 80,000 model years 2021-’23 Sportsman 450 and 570 all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) because an improperly assembled wiring harness can cause a fire, a crash or the brakes to fail. Soda beads

Ecoxall is recalling 440 packages of sodium hydroxide soda beads and potassium hydroxide flakes because the plastic bags do not meet child-resistant packaging requirements. Padded crib bumpers

Meiling Hou is recalling 125 baby crib bumpers because children can suffocate if they roll or move on the crib bumper. Padded crib bumpers are banned under federal law.
