Health Alerts: Bunk beds, children’s robes, infant bath seats and more recalled

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to the CPSC’s searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. A searchable food and medical product recall database is available at www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/default.htm.

Math boxes

The Good and the Beautiful is recalling 103,200 Math 1 and Math 3 boxes because the metallic whiteboard can detach and expose sharp edges, which can cut children. The math boxes were sold at The Good and the Beautiful store in Lehi, Utah, and at www.goodandbeautiful.com from August 2021 to November 2022 for $25 to $29. Twin bunk beds

Walker Edison Furniture is recalling 121,000 twin over twin bunk beds because the wooden slats supporting the bunk beds can break, and children can fall. The bunk beds were sold online by Walmart, Home Depot, Amazon, Overstock and Wayfair from February 2010 to February 2022 for $206 to $389. Necklaces

Creative Education of Canada is recalling 4,300 Easter bunny and butterfly jewel necklaces because they have high levels of cadmium, which is toxic if ingested by children. Plush monkey toys

Diamond Visions is recalling 6,000 Screaming Plush Monkey toys because the eyes can detach, and children can choke on them. Activity tables

Juratoys is recalling 5,080 Janod Sweet Cocoon Activity Tables because a silver metal ball can detach from the metal arch, and children can choke on it. The activity tables were sold at Nordstrom, Crate and Barrel and other specialty stores nationwide and online by Amazon, Nordstrom and Crate and Barrel from February 2020 to December 2022 for $65 to $83. Trick-or-treat subscription boxes

CultureFly is recalling 6,600 L.O.L. Surprise! trick-or-treat subscription boxes because the paint on a metal doll pin in the box contains lead levels that exceed federal standards. Lead is toxic if ingested by children. The subscription boxes were sold online by The L.O.L. Surprise! Box and Amazon from October to December 2021 for about $38. Allergy medicine

Acme United is recalling 2,400 packages of PhysiciansCare allergy relief and cold and cough tablets because the packaging is not child resistant. The recall involves medications with item numbers 90036, 90091, 90092 and 90093, which are printed on top of the box. The medicine was sold on Amazon.com from January 2021 to August 2022 for $5 to $19. Call 888-803-0509 for refund information.

 

Exercise bikes

Peloton is recalling 2.2 million model PL01 bikes because the seat can break during use and riders can fall. The bikes were sold at Peloton and Dick’s Sporting Goods stores nationwide and online by Peloton, Amazon and Dick’s Sporting Goods from January 2018 to May 2023 for about $1,400. Candles

Target is recalling 4.9 million Threshold glass jar candles because the jar can break during use and cause cuts or burns. The 5.5 ounce one-wick, 14 ounce three-wick and 20 ounce three-wick candles were sold in multiple scents at Target stores and at target.com from August 2019 to March 2023 for $3 to $20. Waffle makers

Empower Brands is recalling 456,000 Power XL Stuffed Wafflizer waffler makers because hot pieces of the waffle or stuffing can be expelled from the waffle maker and cause burns. The waffle makers were sold at Walmart, Kohls, Big Lots, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Best Buy, The Home Depot, Target, Sam’s Club and other home good stores nationwide and online by QVC, Walmart, Kohls and other websites from July 2021 to October 2022 for $30 to $60. The Company Store is recalling 930 children’s white robes because the garments do not meet federal flammability standards and can burn children. ATVs

EGL Motor is recalling 4,000 EGL Motor ACE-branded youth all-terrain vehicles. The K125 and C125 models exceed federal safety standards for speed, and the T125 and C125 models’ parking brakes do not prevent the vehicle from moving, posing crash hazards.
