If you like giveaways and networking — and want to make sure you get your steps in —head over to the Exhibit Hall, where you’ll find hundreds of organizations and companies showcasing the latest pediatric products and services.
The Exhibit Hall is a great place to unwind and meet people from different institutions and industries, said Alexandra J. Cvijanovich, M.D., M.Ed., FAAP, a member of the AAP National Conference Planning Group. “It's really fun. It's a nice break from sitting there focusing on a lecture.”
The world’s largest pediatric exhibit hall opens at 12:15 p.m. EDT Saturday, Oct. 21 and is located in Halls A and B of the convention center. New this year are a reception with light appetizers from 5-6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21 and a coffee break from 10-10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 22 sponsored by Children’s Mercy Kansas City.
When crafting your schedule, be sure to make time for Product Theaters where you can learn about the hottest pediatric medical advancements and treatments. And if you’re up for a challenge, participate in a scavenger hunt for a chance to win prizes, including an iPad and registration for the 2024 AAP National Conference & Exhibition in Orlando.
While perusing the 340,000-square-foot space, check out the AAP Resource Center (booth 1541). Meet authors and editors of AAP books; receive a preventive service consultation from a board-certified internist from the Section on Medicine-Pediatrics; and talk with AAP leaders and staff about products, services and programs, and discuss how you can become more involved at the Academy.
“You'll get to really connect with others as well as learn about the new products and things that are out there that might help you in your practice,” said National Conference Planning Group member Tonya A. Chaffee, M.D., M.P.H., FAAP.
