Health Alerts: Bassinets, magnet sets, bunk beds, strollers and more

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to the CPSC’s searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. A searchable food and medical product recall database is available at www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/default.htm.

Pack and play mattresses

 

Several companies are recalling pack and play mattresses because they violate federal safety regulations for crib mattresses and pose a suffocation hazard to infants.

Moonsea is recalling 11,000 foldable pack and play mattresses that were sold online by Amazon from January to August 2023 for about $40. Email service@moonseasleep.com or visit https://bit.ly/4axVbq7 for a refund.

Vibe Bear is recalling 2,000 Playyard mattresses that were sold online by Amazon from January to June 2023 for about $34. Email EEERecall@outlook.com for a refund.

DODO Baby House is recalling 1,650 pack and play mattresses that were sold online by Amazon from February to June 2023 for about $34. Email recallD336@outlook.com for a refund.

Vibe Bear Playyard is recalling 820 portable mattresses that were sold online by Amazon from January to June 2023 for about $34. Email recallguof@outlook.com for a refund.

 

Inclined sleeper bassinets

Peg Perego is recalling 550 YPSI and Z4 inclined sleeper bassinets because they violate the Safe Sleep for Babies Act, and children can roll onto their stomach while unrestrained. The bassinets were sold online by Amazon, Albee Baby, Strolleria and other websites and at Baby First Furniture stores nationwide from July 2022 to April 2023 for about $250. Toy magnet sets

XpressGoods is recalling 728 Colorful Metal Neodymium Magic Magnetic Ball sets because children can choke on the magnetic balls. The magnetic toy sets were sold online by XpressGoods from July 2021 to May 2022 for about $30. Email support@xpressgoods.com or visit https://bit.ly/4awusu4 for a refund.

 

 

Dress-up playsets

Perch is recalling 205,000 Litti City premier doctor playsets and teacher purse sets, Litti Pritti stylist handbag sets and Prextex slime eggs. The dress-up playsets contain levels of phthalates that exceed federal standards. The teacher purse playsets, handbag playsets and slime eggs contain levels of lead that exceed federal levels. Lead and phthalates are toxic and can cause adverse health effects.

The playsets were sold online by Amazon and Walmart from July 2021 to April 2023 for $9 to $45. Call 888-359-4676 or email playsets@realtimeresults.net for a refund.

 

Children’s cups

Two companies are recalling children’s cups because the bottom exterior of the cups contain lead, which can cause adverse health effects to children.

Tiblue is recalling 84,000 8-ounce and 12-ounce children’s cups that were sold online by Amazon from August 2021 to July 2023 for $20. Email recall@tiblueonline.com or visit https://bit.ly/3v2Yw03 for a refund.

Klickpick Home is recalling 3,600 children’s cup sets that were sold online by Amazon from March to September 2023 for $20 for a set of two and $30 for a set of four. Email klickpickband@gmail.com for a refund.

 

Plush toys

Mary Meyer is recalling 1,950 Bubba Bull plush toys because the eyes can detach, and children can choke on them. The plush toys were sold at independent specialty toy stores nationwide and online by Mary Meyer from December 2022 to October 2023 for about $24. Baby rattles

Primark is recalling 1,380 Wooden Music Shaker and DTR M&M Maracas baby rattles because the bottom portion of the rattles can detach, and children can choke on it. Bunk beds

Room & Board is recalling 500 Griffin Duo Bunk Beds because some sets are missing side rail bracket screws, and children can fall. High chairs

Strollers

Bugaboo is recalling 1,000 Dragonfly seat strollers because when in “parent facing” mode, the backseat of the stroller can move downward and children can fall. The strollers were sold at children’s specialty stores nationwide and online by Bugaboo from May to June 2023 for about $900 for seat strollers only and about $1,100 for bassinet strollers with seats. Holiday lights

DM Merchandising is recalling 34,600 Bunkhouse and Lotsa LITES! Connectable mini string lights because the bulbs can overheat and cause burns. Roller blinds

Softfunch Inc. is recalling 9,500 Foiresoft Zebra roller blinds because they have looped operating cords that pose a strangulation hazard to children. Heated blankets

Berkshire Blanket & Home Company is recalling 29,840 heated throws and blankets because they can overheat and cause burns. The electric blankets were sold at L.L. Bean and at Army and Air Force Exchange Services stores nationwide and online by Amazon, Target, Macy’s and QVC from August 2022 to October 2023 for $50 to $180. Bicycle pedals

Specialized Bicycle Components is recalling 3,000 Supacaz Orbitron bicycle pedals because the pedal body can detach and riders can fall. Murphy beds

Sourceone Ventures is recalling 12,000 Windsor Queen Xtrabed Mobile Murphy Beds because the outer case or cabinet front can break and fall. The bed also can tip over if not anchored to the wall.
