Registration is open for the 2024 AAP National Conference & Exhibition in Orlando, Fla., and plenary sessions have been announced for four of the conference’s five days.
Sessions run from 10:30 a.m. to noon EDT on the following days:
- Saturday, Sept. 28: Opening session with Planning Group Chair Elizabeth Murray, D.O., FAAP, and the president’s address from AAP President Benjamin D. Hoffman, M.D., FAAP
- Sunday, Sept. 29: “Turning Pages Together: How Pediatricians Rewrote the Book on Early Literacy,” with Claudia Aristy and Perri E. Klass, M.D., FAAP; “New Approaches To Address Social Media and Youth Mental Health,” with Jenny Radesky, M.D., FAAP, and Megan A. Moreno, M.D., M.P.H., M.S.Ed., FAAP; and “Congenital Syphilis: Responding To a National Epidemic,” with William C. Golden, M.D., FAAP
- Monday, Sept. 30: “What’s All the Buzz? New and Emerging Nicotine Products Addicting Youth,” Brian King, Ph.D., M.P.H.; “A Parent’s Perspective on How To Help Children and Families Thrive,” sharing the experiences of single mother Elayna Fernandez; “AI: Where Are We and Where Are We Going?” with Srinivasan Suresh, M.D., M.B.A., FAAP; and “What’s Trending? 7 Things To Know About U.S. Pediatricians,” with Bobbi J. Byrne, M.D., FAAP
- Tuesday, Oct. 1: “How the ‘All of Us’ Research Program Will Impact Health for All Children,” with Sara Van Driest, M.D., Ph.D., FAAP; and “Where Are the Students? Assessing Barriers To School Attendance,” with Heidi Schumacher, M.D., FAAP
