October 1, 2024

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to the CPSC’s searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. A searchable food and medical product recall database is available at www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/default.htm.

Baby loungers

Mamibaby and Cosy Nation Baby Loungers are recalling 32,270 baby loungers because the products violate federal safety regulations and children can suffocate or fall out of the loungers. The baby loungers were sold on Amazon.com from June 2023 to June 2024 for $40 to $50. Email [email protected] for a refund.

Toy dumbbells

Fisher-Price is recalling 366,000 toy dumbbells sold with the Baby Biceps gift set because the gray caps on the end of the toy can come off and children can choke on them. The Baby Biceps toy sets were sold at Walmart, Kohls, Fred Meyer, Hobby Lobby, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Buy Buy Baby and Target stores nationwide and online by Amazon, Walmart, Zulily, Target and other websites from April 2020 to August 2024 for about $18. Plush ball toys

Shawshank LEDz is recalling 9,600 squeeze plush ball toys with liquid and glitter inside a membrane. If the membrane breaks open, glittery water can splash onto a child’s face and body, posing an injury hazard. The plush toys were sold at Ace Hardware stores nationwide from March to July 2024 for about $5. Call 480-802-1085 or email [email protected] for a refund.

Party supply sets

OleOleToy is recalling 984 glow-in-the-dark party supply toy sets because the bunny ear headbands contain button cell batteries that can be removed easily. If children swallow the batteries, they can suffer serious injuries, including internal chemical burns and death. The party sets were sold on Amazon.com from December 2023 to March 2024 for about $40. Email [email protected] or visit the Amazon seller page at https://bit.ly/4cJ4Z0n for a refund.

Scented candles

Trader Joe’s is recalling 653,000 mango tangerine scented candles because the flame can spread from the wick to the wax and cause a fire. The candles were sold at Trader Joe’s stores nationwide in June 2024 for about $4. Call 833-771-0299 or visit https://bit.ly/3TaVv7b for a refund.

Guitar lubricant

Chem-Pak is recalling 21,130 cans of Finger-ease guitar string lubricant because the lubricant contains a contaminant that can cause skin irritation. The lubricant was sold at Sweetwater, Guitar Center and U.S. Band & Orchestra Supplies stores nationwide and online by Amazon, Musician’s Friend and St. Louis Music from March to May 2024 for $7 to $9. Call 888-504-9533 or email [email protected] for a replacement.
