Editor’s note: The 2024 AAP National Conference & Exhibition will take place from Sept. 27-Oct. 1 in Orlando, Fla. For more coverage, visit https://bit.ly/AAPNationalConference2024 and follow @AAPNews on LinkedIn, Facebook and X.
Elections at all levels of government will determine policies that impact children. With so much at stake, it’s important for pediatricians to engage their communities ahead of Election Day on Nov. 5.
Conference attendees can visit the AAP advocacy booth in the Connections Corner to learn about AAP’s nonpartisan Get Out the Vote campaign, Vote Kids, and spread the importance of voting with children’s needs in mind. The National Conference takes place before any voter registration deadlines, allowing attendees to participate in get-out-the-vote work during and after the conference.
Vote Kids buttons and badges from AAP partner Vot-ER will be available at the advocacy booth for attendees to bring back to their workplaces and communities to spread the message. The badges contain a QR code that patients can scan to check their voter registration status and learn more about registering.
