You’d expect the National Conference Exhibit Hall to have hundreds of booths staffed by representatives from leading pediatric health care organizations. But puppies?
Yes, puppies will be making an appearance in the Exhibit Hall this year, along with several other unique offerings. Visitors will be able to play with shelter pups at a playpen supported by Children’s Mercy Kansas City from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30. The Exhibit Hall is located in Hall C of the convention center.
If you don’t feel rejuvenated after frolicking with the puppies, head to the relaxation area supported by Hospital of Alabama to get a brief massage from a licensed professional massage therapist.
Then make your way around the 108,000-square-foot Exhibit Hall featuring more than 340 exhibitors.
Be sure to check out the AAP Resource Center (Booth 645) where you can get a preventive service consultation from a board-certified internist from the AAP Section on Med-Peds; find new products and gadgets; take a skills challenge from Global Child Health and Life Support; and meet with authors and editors of AAP publications (see schedule of books signings at https://publications.aap.org/aapnews/news/30220/). AAP leaders and staff also will be on hand to answer questions about AAP products, services and programs and discuss how you can become more involved at the AAP.
As you make your way to other booths, look for QR codes to access scavenger hunt questions (available only to in-person registered attendees). Answer participating exhibitors’ questions correctly to unlock points and move up the leader board. Prizes include an iPad and registration to the 2025 AAP National Conference & Exhibition in Denver.
