Its eye-catching, functional design has earned the AAP headquarters in Itasca, Ill., accolades from Chicago building industry leaders. The Academy celebrated the official opening of its new five-story, 183,000-square-foot home in January.
The Chicago Commercial Real Estate Awards named the AAP headquarters the Build to Suit of the Year Award winner in recognition of achieving significant, specific goals. The Academy worked with builders to create a central, spacious, high-tech and sustainable home.
The design will meet pediatricians’ and children’s needs well into the future and ensures minimal environmental impact. Features include energy efficiency and conservation.
