AAP members have an opportunity to nominate themselves as candidates for AAP president-elect in next year’s election.
The new process aims to improve transparency and recruit a diverse set of candidates, building on recommendations from the AAP Task Force on Diversity and Inclusion.
The president-elect serves for one year in that role followed by one year as president and one year as immediate past president. Duties are outlined at https://bit.ly/33sXoTU.
Members interested in being considered for candidacy should submit a biographical summary form to the AAP National Nominating Committee via https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6WM9S67 by Oct. 9.
