The Council on Communications and Media is accepting applications for the 2018-2019 Media Visiting Professorship. The deadline is Jan. 2. Visits must occur by June 30.
The council sponsors the annual professorship by providing a pediatric media expert as the visiting professor to educate pediatricians and parents about the effects of media on children and adolescents.
Each year, hospitals and institutions are invited to apply to host the pediatric media expert to conduct lectures, seminars or rounds for one to two days at the institution. Preference is given to institutions that can supply an audience of pediatricians, pediatric residents and medical students, and can link with the community to include a presentation or webinar to parents and/or teachers.
